Disappointment, thy name is film…

This is the first trailer released for the new Street Fighter movie, which focuses on Chun-Li’s rise. It’s kind of a different take and people are bashing it already of course, asking asinine questions like “where did all the guns come from?” I think it’s time that they realize this movie isn’t Street Fighter the video game. It’s Chun-Li, and that’s it. So the paths she took before reaching the Street Fighter stage may not exactly mesh with the hand-to-hand combat of fighting on the street in Street Fighter. This movie is a backfill of her life story before the first game she appeared in.
But despite my rather weak defense, I’m sure this movie is going to suck just like every video game movie before it.
