Been on kind of a black metal binge lately…

I’m not sure why, but black metal has been at the forefront of most of my music purchases lately.  I recently found out about Cobalt and have enjoyed their latest album, Gin, quite a bit.  Pregnant Insect is probably my favorite track on that album.  Along with Rob Zombie’s latest I also ordered up Cobalt’s earlier [...]

I need friends that listen to my kind of music…

Why didn’t somebody tell me that Rob Zombie released a new album last month?  Ordered.

Excuse the mess…

I’ve decided to move my site over to PowWeb.com. The transition is going to be less than smooth, unfortunately, as I had to completely reinstall Wordpress from scratch and import my articles.  For some reason my SQL database transfer didn’t work.  Some of the images aren’t going to be working right off the bat, but [...]

Only eight days left…

…to preorder your copy of Dethklok’s latest album “Dethalbum II.”
The regular release is only $7.99 from Amazon, $2 more gets you the Deluxe edition which includes two bonus songs plus some videos from the previous and current Dethklok tours (they lied, no bonus songs and no live videos from the tours, just animated music videos [...]

A new cover boy for…

…Internet Tough Guy magazine: Marilyn Manson.
Apparently the beautiful people are getting to Marilyn Manson.  The guy went into some rant about the “soon-to-be-murdered-in-their-home press” saying bad stuff about him.  Kinda idiotic (but not unexpected) coming from MySpace and all but it is good for a laugh I guess.

Current music obsession…

They call themselves Dagon.  Thrash inspired Death Metal.  It’s a different kind of sound, not your typical death metal stuff.  They are into the sea and the creatures that exist there that would love to rip your body to pieces and eat them.  Also pirates.  I like it.

Brutal music that kills the pain.

Purification is far and away Crimson Thorn’s best album.  Much tighter, more brutal, and a bit more melodic (if that’s the correct musical term).  The production level is much better than both of their previous releases as well.  My top 3 songs from the album in no particular order are Meaningless, Sarcastic Deviation, and Lack [...]

The Dethalbum review

I’m not a musician or a music expert or music reviewer or anything of the sort.  But if I can’t be one in real life I can at least pretend to be one on the internet.  I mean, that’s what the internet is all about right?  Giving voice to all the non-experts out there on [...]
