For some inexplicable reason reading a comic at Penny Arcade made me think of a classic PSX game, Felony 11-79.  It’s a destruction based driving game and it is incredibly fun.  I bought it soon after it was originally released and enjoyed it immensely.  It’s one of those games that will always be stuck in the back of my mind.  I’m searching for it right now on eBay.  Other classic games that stick in my mind are Shipwreckers! and One for the PSX and Red Zone for the Sega Genesis.  These are games that may not have been critically acclaimed in their time, but they still have a lasting appeal for me.  I’ve been lucky enough to find two of those games at my usual used game resources.  The third has been a little harder to come by.

Finding old games can sometimes be a dream and sometimes seem like a chore.  Of course eBay is the ultimate resource when it comes to finding just about anything, but it doesn’t always come through, at that point I turn to local used video game stores like Game Force and Video Game Exchange.  Amazon’s third-party sellers can also be an excellent resource for old and hard to find video games.  Pretty much every major video game retail chain also offers used video games, but usually only for the more recent systems.  If you’re a serious collector then eBay is your best bet as you can sometimes find brand new, unopened games.

So what video games do you still have fond memories of?
