Windows Live Writer Strikes Back
Posted on Thursday, November 16th, 2006 at 6:14 pm by Jeff HoyI was playing with Microsoft’s new (beta testing) Windows Live Writer blogging tool and got a little too comfortable with it before fully learning it. Consequently I ended up deleting the Neon Wars follow up post that I had here. Oh well, the post sucked anyway, but the game rocks. Windows Live Writer is actually pretty cool. It’s got features that some other blogging tools lack, but it has it’s share of annoyances as well. The biggest being its feature to download old posts so you can edit them and what not, for some reason it doesn’t save the list of those posts locally, so you have to download all the posts every time you open up a new instance of the program. I do like it, but I’m not going to be using it until it’s considered out of beta. Check it out if you blog, it works with pretty much every major blogging tool, from the new Blogger beta to WordPress.
